VSDViewer

Although Microsoft is doing everything on its part to offer its applications and services on each and every one of the desktop and mobile platforms currently available on the market, not all the applications of the computer giant andThey are available in all ecosystems.

One of those applications is Microsoft Visio, an application that despite being part of Office, is not available for macOS. Visio is a vector design application with which we can create diagrams, flow charts, blueprints, engineering layouts… Pretty much anything that includes vector design.

The reasons why Microsoft offers us this application within macOS are obvious, since in this ecosystem we have a large number of applications that allows us to create vector designs and that have been on the market for many years. The problem is found when we receive a file created with Microsoft Visio in VSD or VSDX format.

Natively, we do not have the possibility to open it in any way, unless we resort to the different web pages that allow us to convert it to other formats. However, we always have the doubt what really happens with the files that we upload, we never know if they are really deleted once this conversion has been made.

If the type of file that we want to view on our Mac, we do not want to be able to circulate on the internet, we can make use of an application available in the Mac App Store, an application called VSD Viewer & VSD Converter. Thanks to this application, we can not only convert files in VSD and VSDX format but we can also convert files in this format to:

  • PDF
  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • BMP
  • TIFF
  • GIF

But in addition to allowing us to view the files in this format, it also allows us print documents in this format. To be able to enjoy all the functions that this application offers us, we must go to the checkout and unlock full access to the application, a purchase that has a price of 3,49 euros.
