If you are one of the users who bought AirPods within a few weeks of their release, you may not be taking advantage of all the advantages that headphones connected to a Mac offer. Apple adopted the AirPods' tweak features eight months after its release. That is why, checking if you are taking advantage of all the advantages that macOS brings us, it does not hurt.
The configuration that we choose in macOS, remains recorded until you decide to make any changes and these are independent of the iOS settings, since use on a Mac may be different from use on an iPhone.
If you want to verify the settings on the Mac, you must do the following, check that the AirPods are connected:
- Opens System preferences.
- Then click on Bluetooth.
- Click on options and access customization of AirPods settings.
Now we have at our disposal different options, which we already know in iOS, but it does not hurt to review:
First of all, we can choose the behavior when we do two consecutive hits on the right earbud. We can choose between: skip to the next song, pause or continue playing, or invoke Siri. The same behavior is found with the left earphone.
A very interesting option if our Mac is the main connection of our AirPods, is automatic detection of AirPods as soon as they turn on and are within reach of Apple headphones.
In the coming months we can see news with the AirPods. The future AirPower will allow charging the headphone box, so that this in turn recharges the headphones. On the other hand, the second version of the AirPods should arrive in the next few months, when the Apple product begins to be in the hands of many Apple users and even users who do not have an iPhone or Mac and consider buying an Apple product to take out all its functions.
