Different ways to easily rotate a video on Mac

Post cover different ways to rotate a video

Sometimes the things that seem the easiest to do, in the end, are the ones that cost us the most. That happened to me recently, when they sent me a video that I have to play for Airplay. Luckily I tried before, well It was turned around and there was no way to get it straight. Let's see the most common options to rotate videos easily.

A priori, easy solution, the video had it in the Native App Photos, well I received it in IOS and downloaded it to Reel. First attempt: rotate it with Photos, but this option is not available on IOS, but not on Mac OS X either. Therefore, it was time to move on to more or less professional video editors.

iMovie-10.2.1-update-0

Let's start with the basics, iMovie, our Mac's video editor par excellence. If you are not a big fan of video editing, it is the option that you will have more at hand. Once you have your video available on the editing screen, you must press settings and then the trim button shown in the following picture.

Now you can rotate the video, even resize it, although in this case you must be careful not to lose resolution.

Alternatively Wondershare filmora. An application that stands out for its simplicity, but that at the same time allows making small adjustments, as well as adding music or effects.

Finally, my favorite for any edition, my King of Kings, Final Cut Pro X. Editing program that allows you to do almost anything and with a professional finish quality. Similar to iMovie, we must click on the button indicated by the red arrow and then by clicking on the button with the yellow date we can guide it to our liking.

Once turned, and why not, some personal retouching, it is time to export the video and send the video via Airplay, well from our Mac if we have Software after Mountain Lion o IOS 6 onwards.
