How to turn off autoplay on YouTube

First of all, make sure you have YouTube version 11.17 or later on your iPhone, earlier versions do not include the "AutoPlay" option. If not, go to the App Store and look under "Updates." If you have automatic updates activated, you will not have to worry.

Now, open the official application of YouTube trust your iPhone and then select any video to play it. With your iPhone in a vertical position, you will notice that there is a switch under the video title, the channel name, and the subscribe button. Tap on it to disable autoplay, or to turn it back on again.

When the button is blue, the switch is active and the application will automatically play the next video in the list; when it is white, the autoplay functionality is disabled.

By disabling autoplay on your iPhone, the YouTube will not play any additional videos unless you expressly choose to do so. Once the toggle is disabled on one of the videos, this extends to your global preferences, affecting the rest of the videos as well.

Playlists do not include this possibility.
