Discover dead pixels with Monitor Test, free for a limited time

The week that ended today has been one of the most prolific in terms of free applications. Practically every day, both my colleague José and a server, we have been informing you about the different applications that have been available for free download for a limited time. Today Friday we talk again about an application available for free, an application that will help us detect dead pixels. Monitor Test has a usual price of 0,99 euros and it will help us to detect the dead pixels of our monitor and I say it will help us because the application itself is not capable of detecting them.

As I mentioned above, the application does not automatically take care of detecting the pixels that have passed away, but rather It will show us a series of solid backgrounds on the monitor in order to detect black pixels., whose color indicates that they have passed away. The operation of this application is very simple, and does not require great computer knowledge.

As soon as we run the application, we have to select the monitor to which we want to pass the test to detect if it has pixels out of service or not. Next we have to click on Start Testing. Following the application will start showing different wallpapers for us to look for non-functioning pixels. To change the color of the screen, which will help us to detect it better, we just have to press any key. To exit the test we must press the ESC key. Monitor Test is available in English only, occupies 0.1 MB, and is compatible with OS X 10.8 or later. It requires 64-bit to work and the last update this application received was a couple of years ago.
