DiskActivity monitors the use of our hard disk, free for a limited time

We started on Monday with a new free application for a limited time, this time we talk about an application that may be a sovereign nonsense for many users, however for many others it may be very useful. If you are more than 30 years old, surely you will remember the first PCs, which by the way had a very high price, which indicated by means of a diode if the hard drive was being read at that time, a diode that we saw continuously when we started our PC for know when it had fully started.

This application comes to replace this color diode, ideal for those users who have not yet switched to the SSD and need some indication to know when the operating system has finished starting to start getting their hands on the Mac. Disk Activity, is a simple application that we place an icon on the top menu bar, and that we can configure so that any hard disk connected to our PC starts up every time.

DiskActivity barely offers us configuration options, but among those it does offer, we can find the one that we can use the most. This option allows the application to notify us every time it reads any of the hard drives we have on our Mac or simply every time it is put into operation on internal hard disk.

It also allows us to change the icon and the color with which it will inform us that any of the hard drives of our Mac are being accessed. According to the developer, the application has a very small impact both on startup and on the general operation of our Mac. DiskActivity has a regular price in the Mac App Store of 0,99 euros, but for a limited time we can download it for free.
