Emulate the Macintosh OS on a Nintendo 3DS

The truth is that Macintosh Plus, which is the version of the operating system installed as an emulator on a Nintendo 2Ds / 3DS, has been out of service for many years, but it is interesting to see this operating system launched back in 1996 in one of these next-generation consoles. The news we find in the Macrumors medium shows us Macintosh version 7.5.3 or also called Mac OS 7. This from Mac OS I suppose that it will sound like many of you since it is the same name that we will have from next fall on our Macs, with macOS Sierra.

In addition to the photo in which we can see this Macintosh operating system running on the console, there is a video on the YouTube channel with explanations from the author that we leave you right here and in which you can obviously see this Nintendo 3DS running on the Macintosh operating system.

This emulator shows how to open different applications, adds text and shows how the device shuts down. Homebrew user with pseudonym LarBob Doomer, is in charge of this emulator for Nintendo consoles and you can find the code to install it in GitHub. The use that can be given to this emulator is obviously somewhat limited (we love to see the small keyboard with its numeric and everything on the lower screen of the Nintendo console) but we find it really interesting to be able to run this old operating system from more than ago 20 years old on one of these consoles.
