A few days ago I informed you about an application that for a limited time was available for free download, FlixHD, an application that allows us to enjoy Netflix content in 4k on our Mac, since through Safari at the moment it is impossible. Today we talk about another application that is available for download for a limited time for free: Flix Player, an application that has a regular price in the Mac App Store of 9,99 euros. Unlike FlixHD, with Flix Player we can not only enjoy Netflix, but we can also do it through our Hulu account.
Flix Player allows us to enjoy all the content available on both Netflix and Hulu platforms, without having to resort to the web service offered by both. The search options that it offers us are really fast and intuitive, with an operation that sometimes seems faster than that of the web version. Unlike FlixHD, this application does not allow us to reproduce the content in 4k resolution, something that many users may miss.
This application allows us to perform the same functions that we find in the web version of Netflix, so we can add subtitles in any language as well as select the audio of our favorite videos or beings. Within the configuration options, we can set it to always be displayed in a floating window above all applications that we have open, in addition, to activate a keyboard shortcut to minimize the screen quickly. Flix Player is available in Spanish, it takes up just over 80 MB and requires macOS 10.9.0 and a 64-bit processor to work.
From the reviews in the Mac App Store, I think it is not that good, but it will have to be tried
