Enpass will have important new features in version 6

The password manager is updated to version 6 with important new features. Now we can manage several chests at the same time and in parallel. This is a feature brought to you by the industry-leading application for password reliability, 1Password. This option allows us to separate personal and professional data into two independent and watertight compartments.

The first beta of version 6 is available for us to test it, although we warn you that unable to sync today's data stored in Enpass 5 with version 6. Therefore, assess if you are interested in updating.

Perhaps the most sensible thing if you handle betas, is to use them on devices other than the main one and use it only to "play" or test. In addition, since it is a beta, the version to download is not available in the App Store, so forget about trying it on iOS as well.

As you can see, it is a multiplatform applyTherefore, you can see that it is not specially designed for macOS, keeping the typical interface of other macOS applications. Nevertheless, this password manager stands out for its simplicity and ease of use. On the other hand, the operation is more than correct both in timing and in handling in general.

Even so, the developers have considered improving the application more and more and in this version 6 they bring the following improvements:

  • Better timing, revised from the beginning.
  • Allows you to perform personal settings for each copper.
  • Now sharing an item is done encrypted, with a password that will be used to open the file.
  • We can define our own categories or create screens for each category.
  • The application provides identifying icons and allows us to create our own.
  • La Recycle Bin allows you to retrieve an item sent by mistake.

It remains to be implemented in future updates, double factor code creation. This feature is on iOS, but can be leveraged on macOS. We hope to have this full feature on macOS soon.

Enpass can be purchased from page from developer. The version for macOS is completely free, but if we want to synchronize with iOS, the latter will cost us € 10,99
