Eve and Coulisse will soon have their HomeKit-compatible shades

Coulisse and Eve

Eve, which is a firm that has been working with HomeKit compatible devices has just entered into a partnership with the company Coulisse, which manufactures curtains and home accessories.

The result of this team, as you can imagine, will be translated into a line of smart devices within the MotionBlinds range. These products look like they could start strong with HomeKit-compatible wireless motors and the Thread protocol for roller shades, Venetian blinds, and traditional shades.

Drawstring It shows us on its website this new range of motors with HomeKit technology and the German firm Eve Systems has a lot to do with this project. Eve CEO Jerome Gackel explained that the shades are connected via Bluetooth so they won't need any jumpers for setup, they will be added directly to HomeKit and can be controlled from anywhere.

These new shades connect via Bluetooth, setup does not require any gateway or bridge. It is only necessary to scan the QR code that is added on the product itself so that the curtains are configured automatically and safely. This configuration is done through the app and can be controlled directly from it or by voice. In just a few seconds, everything will be ready to go.

Really having this type of curtains or accessories available in our home may seem bullshit for those who do not have any home automation product. But create automations to open, close, turn on the light, activate an appliance with a plug from anywhere it can even be interesting for home security. Once you enter this world, it is difficult to stop looking for more accessories compatible with HomeKit.

These products under the MotionBlinds brand are expected to arrive during the second quarter of this year but without an official date indicated. Actually there are no details about its possible price and neither about the models that will be put on sale.
