Once, the solution to extract images from a file in GIF format, we found in a third-party application called Gif Separate. This application, as its name indicates, allows us to extract the different images that are part of a GIF, images that we can save in JPEG, BMP, TIFF or PNG format.

The operation of this application, like the applications that offer us functions that we can find in Photoshop or Pixelmator, without going any further, it is very simple and does not require any special knowledge on the part of the users.

How Gif Separate works

  • Once we have opened the application, we drag the GIF file from which we want to extract the image.
  • The application will automatically show us all the frames that are part of that file, showing us the images independently so that we can save the ones that interest us.
  • To save the images that we like the most, we must click on the button Save which is displayed at the bottom of each image and set the format in which we want to keep the image.

Gif Separate has a regular price of 6,99 eurosIt requires OS X 10.11, a 64-bit processor and is only available in English, although the language will not be a problem, since the application is very intuitive.
