FileMaker reborn as Claris

Interface Interface

Recent news for FileMaker users is that now at the XNUMXth annual DevCon convention, FileMaker, Inc., creator of the world's leading Workplace Innovation Platform, has announced the start of a new chapter in company history with its new name: Claris International Inc.

In this case we have to add another news that is the acquisition of Stamplay which will generate a new offering of cloud-based services that will bring more convenience to more than one million FileMaker users. This service helps companies of all sizes to integrate data from third-party cloud services, such as Box, DocuSign, etc., into their apps. Claris has fully integrated this service and announced a new offering, Claris Connect.

This service will provide customers with an intuitive interface to automate workflows for cloud-based services, saving them the task of developing custom backend integrations. The Claris Connect team will continue to be under the direction of the former Stamplay CEO, Giuliano Lacobelli.

Brad Freitag, CEO of Claris explained:

Claris comes from the Latin root "clarus", which means clear, bright and radiant. Nothing sums up the company's goal better: to offer problem solvers smart solutions that work for their business. By expanding the reach of our platform and making it a modern, multifaceted and powerful union of local custom apps and third-party services, our customers will be able to streamline their business processes through the cloud-based services they use every day.

In 1986, Claris began as a subsidiary of Apple. In 1998, the company changed its name to FileMaker, Inc., focusing on its flagship product. Since then, FileMaker, Inc. has grown to more than 50 customers and more than one million end users, while remaining profitable for more than 000 quarters. Claris Connect will be available by invitation this fall and its distribution will be expanded in 2020.
