Final Cut Pro X fails to succeed in Hollywood as a video editor

Apple's quintessential video editor, Final Cut Pro X fails to succeed among video editors, in Hollywood productions. Its predecessor, Final Cut Studio, managed to gain a foothold in the celluloid industry, where it coincided with Avid's Media Composer, which is currently the most widely used program.

Apparently the current modern version, Final Cut Pro X has failed to convince the pros. We only have specific editions of series or some film, made entirely with Final Cut Pro X. We look at the reasons why it is not succeeding.

First of all, the philosophy of Final Cut Pro X is different from other video editing programs. Professionals who do not dominate the Mac ecosystem at a professional level, find themselves the initial obstacle to learning, not the operation itself, but the way of working with libraries. Instead, this is an advantage for beginning users, as it is much more intuitive for them. In this way, we may see new movie editors in the future, started with Final Cut Pro X.

The editor of television series as famous as House of Cards, Josh Beal, affirms that this application can perfectly be used for any type of projectIt is even a perfect tool for those who are starting out, for its simplicity of use. Beal made the remarks at an NAB conference, where he praised the app's merits and chatted with colleagues about it.

For Beal, FCP X brings new and more revolutionary ideas than the long-lived Media Composer. In addition, the philosophy of the application is more modern. Also, the first versions of FCP X did not maintain a pleasant interface for editors, but with the latest updates, this gap has been closed, to the point of preferring the latter.

The examples Beal provides are lAudio clips, with the visual form of waves, using keywords for clips. Finally, he appreciates that the Media Composer files can be used in FCP X and therefore, both solutions can work as a team.
