While reviewing the news of the different operating systems in beta version for developers released this afternoon, we were surprised by the arrival of Night Shift in beta 1 of macOS Sierra 10.12.4 and the implementation of Find My AirPods in iOS 10.3.
It is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding novelties of this first beta version of the operating system and is that in this way one of the AirPods can be found in case of accidental loss. In any case, now we are clear why Apple eliminated a couple of weeks ago, an application that precisely had the same or similar function to find the AirPods.
But in this sense, the AirPods have a limitation compared to the rest of the firm's devices that can use this method to locate them and that obviously have no data and for the location they are based on the Bluetooth signal to give their position, so they only they will be able to locate in the case of being in a close distance to the Apple device that is looking for it, about 5-10 meters approx.
These are some screenshots of how Find My AirPods works In the new iOS beta:
In this way, all users who have Apple wireless headphones will be able to find them in the event of losing one of them, they even allow a sound to be played in the case of loss to be located. Definitely a very good improvement that users who have these AirPods can enjoy.
