We can't deny that on macOS, Safari is the best browser currently available for any Apple laptop or desktop. However, for some users (as is my case) it has a series of shortcomings that, for work reasons, forced me to look for an alternative.
The best option I found was Firefox, a browser that focuses on protecting our privacy at all times, just like Safari. The Mozilla Foundation, the organization behind this browser, has just released version 89 of Firefox, a new version that has a more modern appearance.
According to Mozilla, the new version of Firefox offers us a redesigned and modernized experience that is easier to use. This new redesign also affects the menus and elements of the taskbar that were hardly used by users.
Aesthetically, what is most striking is the design of the tabs, tabs that give the sensation of being floating on the top bar and that include an audio control indicator.
In addition, the number of warnings and messages has been reduced to reduce interruptions to the user by showing only the most important ones. The iconography and color palette has also been redesigned to be more cohesive with the interface than previous versions.
What's new in the macOS version
Regarding the changes that we can find in the version for macOS, we find a new bounce effect when we reach the end of a page, compatibility with the intelligent zoom that uses the double touch of the trackpad or a single finger on the Magic Mouse to enlarge the content where the courses are located.
Another novelty adapted to macOS, we find it in the browser menus, menus that are already compatible with the dark mode of macOS. Firefox version 89 is now available for download through its website, requires macOS 10.12 and is natively compatible with Apple's M1 processors.
