Fitbit announces its new quantifying wristbands

As it had previously leaked, Fitbit has announced the evolution of two of its most successful quantifying bracelets. We refer to the Charge 2 and Flex 2 models.

Along with this, the company has also announced an upcoming software update for its Blaze and Alta wearables that will bring new functionality and features.

The second generation Fitbit is now official

Just a couple of weeks ago, the TechnoBuffalo website leaked images of what could be the new Fitbit quantizer bracelets. The success has been absolute. After said filtration, Fitbit has officially announced the new Fitbit Charge 2 and Fitbit Flex 2. And as we have already anticipated, also a software update for the Blaze and Alta models that will bring new notifications, watch faces and reminders.

Fitbit Charge 2

We start with the Fitbit Charge 2. This new device comes with a great OLED display sensitive to the touch and whose mission is to collect the activity of the whole day. This includes the most common stats like number of steps taken, heart rate, distance traveled, calories burned, and much more.

Like other Fitbit wearable models, the Charge 2 allows you to perform a track sleep cycles and set alarms to wake up. We can also set activity goals that they encourage us to make an effort every day a little more.

In addition, the Fitbit Charge 2 can be customized according to the occasion with the new series of luxury straps in leather and other high quality accessories.

The great improvement over the Fitbit Original is that new OLED screen that is four times larger "So you can see more activity stats and keep your fitness goals on track with just a glance."

In addition to basic physical activity readings, the screen will also display information originating from the smartphone to which it is linked such as text messages and emails.

Depending on how it is used, the new Charge 2 features a autonomy of up to 5 days.

"Relax"

Very similar to the app "Breathe" that will come to the Apple Watch with Watch 3, is the "Relax" feature announced by Fitbit. This feature, available on the Charge 2, will guide users through breathing exerciseson every day to help you relax. Relax will read the heart rate of each user to determine the best breathing rate for each exercise, with customizable sessions of 2 to 5 minutes.

Fitbit Flex 2

We continue with the Fitbit Flex 2, which is 30% smaller than the original model. It continues the minimalist design of the first generation and houses a row of LED lights instead of a traditional screen. As a result, the Flex 2 is stronger, even up to 50 meters underwater. Thus, it is capable of "Automatically track your pool swimming exercises as a workout in the Fitbit app, capture laps, your workout duration, and calorie burn."

Thanks to its design, it can be incorporated into a wide variety of new accessories created by the company. These include basic fashion bracelets, bangles, and even necklaces. Fitbit will also launch "designer collections" of new wearable accessories, including stainless steel bands and nylon bracelets that will also be priced at a luxury price of over $ 300.
