How to fix the "camera not connected" error on Mac

camera-mac

It seems that some users are reporting this error that is not at all new in the Apple operating system, and it is that three years ago we already saw a good number of users affected with this problem and we put on the table the possible solution to the problem through the closing a process from Port by entering the following command: sudo killall VDCassistant or from Activity monitor which is on the route Utilities> Activity Monitor and in the tab of all processes close it manually.

Well, it seems that some users after the last macOS Sierra update the problem is appearing again and with the error message -There is no camera connected- when trying to open any of the applications that use the Mac's camera type, Skype, FaceTime, Photo Booth or any other application. Well, if we do not have problems with the hardware of the equipment, that is, with the camera, we can solve the problem with the command that we have left at the beginning of the article.

For this to work we have to open an application that uses the camera, wait for it to show the error and then copy and paste the command in Terminal. When we open the application again, the error should no longer appear. In case it is still present, what we have to do is restart the Mac and repeat the process. If all this fails, we can only go through the SAT to see if we really have a hardware problem, that is, with the camera itself.
