Apple does not offer its Apple News service in Spain or in any other Spanish-speaking country. Years go by and the service still cannot be enjoyed globally. Now, it is also normal not to grow up with 'enemies' like the CEO of Flipboard. In a recent interview, the founder of the news service claims that Apple News is anchored in the past.
We already know that although Apple News is not officially available in Spain, we can use the service with a small change in the settings. Exactly: we go to Settings> General> Language and Region> Region and we choose the United States - don't change the system language, that won't matter. Nevertheless, Flipboard reaches more users and there are no problems in adding any type of content. According to the latest figures that are known, Flipboard takes 30 million monthly users to Apple's bet.
Now, to sink Apple News a bit more, the CEO of Flipboard has stated in an interview the following: "Apple News is anchored in the past". According to the entrepreneur, they allow much more comfortable sharing articles and content on social networks; they have these services integrated in a more visible way. Similarly, we don't really know what Mike McCue is referring to since, yes, you have to take a little more steps, but you can share the content wherever you want and with whoever you want.
Finally, the head of Flipboard also makes mention - and a clear appeal - to income. As stated, advertisers have it much easier on their platform: Flipboard redirects directly to the publisher page and does not transform the content into something tailored to your system, where only the ads of those companies that have hired a space will be displayed and thus take a percentage of each visit. In other words, in this sense, Flipboard is more open and can be more interesting for a greater number of advertisers.
