In a previous post we told you how to keep your Mac in top shape with a very complete application for this called Cocktail and that it made use of multiple options for it and although it is very complete has a negative aspect which is the price of 19 dollars and that you have to pay for a single use license. On the other hand, the one that I bring you now is intended only and exclusively for the optimization of memory management that the operating system does with the applications that we have been opening and the processes that have been left in memory for it, without further possibilities.
Of course, this application is now free for a limited time in the Mac App Store and the time I have been using it to the detriment of Free Ram Booster seems to me a better option because frees up more memory, but with the disadvantage that you cannot leave any type of icon in the menu bar to access it more quickly if it is not by opening it directly from the applications folder.
The good thing is that it distinguishes memory with a fairly well explained graph of the use that the system is giving to it, that is, in the upper image you can see different sections such as file cache, available memory, the one that has compressed the system itself and finally the one used by the applications active at that time, in addition to a section with the applications that make a 'significant' use of memory.
It also shows us a small diagram with the memory installed in the system. My recommendation is that you take advantage of the offer while it is freely available and download it for yourself so that you can at least judge for yourself if it's worth it or not.
