Developer Maker Labs launches Google Assistant for Mac

In this case it is an application that has no more secret add us Google Assistant, Google Assistant on Mac. This seems really curious to us since we all know that the assistant on Apple computers is Siri and it is obviously native, not an application.

For now what we can see is that the developer of the application for Mac is Maker Labs, the support website for the application is Halfbit, which is in charge of applications such as Disk Cleaner, Messenger for Facebook Messenger on Mac, Disk Cleaner and has in preparation Mailbox for Gmail and Play for Youtube.

With all this information we see that the application seems fully functional in terms of what it offers. We personally have not purchased the application but we find it curious to find the Google assistant in the list of applications available for Mac in the Apple store, although lately the relationships and collaborations between the two companies are more common than before.

An open source project called MacAssistant It came in May from a developer who allowed us to use Google Assistant on macOS, but in this case it is an application on the Mac App Store. With MacAssistant we could use the Google assistant simply tapping the icon in the menu bar, similar to what we have to do with Siri, obviously the language that the assistant understands is the same as in this application is English.

But we are going to focus our attention on this application that has a size of 11,8 MB and is compatible with all Macs that have macOS 10.12 or later installed, they obviously ask us to use the app on our Mac for an official Google account. The launch price of the application is 3,49 euros and you can now download it on the Mac App Store.
