The HP Specter 2016 laptop has arrived, thinner than Apple's MacBook

HP-Specter-13.3-detail

Two days ago we told you that HP had stated that I was going to present a new laptop It was going to overshadow Apple's own MacBook, and one of the things they bragged about was that it was going to be even thinner than Apple's finest. Well, the HP Specter 2016 is already among us and the truth is that it seems that HP has put the batteries in terms of design and internal hardware.

However, many were the readers who put their two cents in the article and answered that it was very difficult for HP to improve the MacBook, which we keep saying is that a MacBook is not just hardware. It is a computer that blends seamlessly with your system, OS X.

The HP Specter 2016 has a 13.3-inch screen, a thickness of only 14 mm and a weight of 1,1 kg since it is made of carbon fiber and aluminum. If we compare it with the 13-inch MacBook Air we have that it has a thickness that goes from 3 mm to 17 mm and weighs 1,35 kg while the 12-inch MacBook has a thickness that goes from 3,5 mm to 13,1 mm and has a weight of 920 grams. So we can see that HP has done a good job in terms of design. We can even add that the screen it mounts has a total thickness of 2 mm.

As for the ports it has we have three USB-C that according to statements by HP are used to recharge the device in addition to a 3,5 mm jack for audio. In this sense, we see that HP has thought a little more than Apple having three USB-C ports on the computer, which we have been commenting on about Apple for a long time and that it will be implemented in future MacBook models.

On the other hand, despite being so thin, HP has managed to create a new cooling system that has allowed them not to use Intel Core M processors like MacBook 12 and to mount processors Intel Core i5-6200U (dual-core, 2,3 GHz) or Intel Core i7-6500U (dual-core, 2,5 GHz). Their RAM ranges from 4 to 8 GB depending on the model and they mount 512 GB solid drives.

Finally we can tell you that they offer an autonomy of up to 9 hours and 45 minutes in operation. As you can see, the characteristics are not bad at all but what we really fear is that this bet from HP of what is limping is the operating system since as we know it is the burden of many PCs. Its price will start at € 1.499 in Spain and will arrive in June, just when Apple plans to launch its new models. Will it overshadow the MacBook?

Sad to see how HP tries to look like Apple. Better and reinvent themselves, do better HP thinkers tasks.
Besides bringing the Windows already makes it mediocre. End of the statement
