El Parallax effect that those of Cupertino introduced along with iOS 7 We love it, however, a problem came with it: when we try to put as a background any other image that is not found in the wallpapers included by default, it is resized and it is not as we want. Today in Applelised we bring you some solutions.

Some tricks to adjust the wallpaper in iOS 7

To prevent that photo that we like so much from our last trip from being enlarged, stretched or pixelated when we try to use it as a wallpaper on our iPad or iPad Mini, as a result of the different layers of movement that it incorporates iOS 7 and its effect Parallax, we should try some of the following tips.

1 turn off the Parallax effect

Obviously disable the effect Parallax included in iOS 7 it may be the most obvious solution of all. To do this we just have to access Settings → General → Accessibility → Reduce Movement

Disable Parallax on your iPad

If this by itself does not work, which happens on many occasions, we must complement this action of disabling Parallax with:

2.Use backgrounds adapted to the resolution of each screen.

We must adjust the image that we want to use as wallpaper to the resolution of the screen of our device (also deactivating the Parallax effect):

  • ipad wallpaper retina (iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air and iPad Mini Retina): 2048 × 2048 pixels.
  • Wallpaper iPhone 4 inches (iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5th generation): 1136 × 640 pixels.
  • Wallpaper iPhone 3,5 inches (iPhone 4s, iPhone 4): 960 × 640 pixels

To preserve the Parallax effect you will have to add 200 pixels for each side although keep in mind that you will never have absolute control and sometimes this trick will not work for you if you do not deactivate Parallax.

Furthermore, this page you have hundreds of wallpapers adapted to your device and compatible with the effect Parallax.

3.The screenshot.

The last option is the screenshot. We display the image we want to use as the wallpaper on our iPad and, after hiding the share bar to see it in full screen, we take a screenshot by pressing the Home and Activation / Sleep buttons at the same time.

Then we select it as the wallpaper and that's it!
