The main advantage that this technology offers us is that we only have to plug it into the mains and then associate it with our Wi-Fi connection. From that moment on, any device that can print using this technology, such as iPhones and iPads, will be able to print without having to install any application on their device.
However, if we want to print from our Mac, si need to install it. To associate it with the computer from which we want to print, we must follow these steps:
- First of all we head up System preferences.
- Then we click on Printers.
- With the printed on and associated with the same Wi-Fi network where our Mac is connected, click on the + sign located at the bottom left of the right column.
- At that time, our Mac it will recognize which printer is available on our Wi-Fi network.
- By clicking on it, at the bottom of the dialog box where it is displayed, details will be displayed of it together with the technology that will be used when connecting: AirPrint. Click on Add.
- Next, a dialog box will appear showing us how macOS is configuring and installing the printer on our computer.
