How to install tvOS 12 on an Apple TV
The options are simple and in this case what we have to do is follow the steps that we leave below. It is important to clarify that these beta versions for Apple TV are valid for set top boxes from the fourth generation or the fifth generation model, with 4k support. Now what we have to do is join the beta program and follow the simple installation steps:
- We access them on the web by clicking on 'Sign Up' and registering our Apple ID (without Apple ID we cannot access the betas)
- We start the Apple TV and go to Settings> System> Software update
- We have to activate the option 'Receive updates from public betas'
- Again we access Settings> System> Software update> Update software
- Download and install
These are the simple steps we have to follow to install this beta version on our fourth or fifth generation Apple TV. Remember that it is a beta version and therefore it may have compatibility problems or failures with some apps, installation is carried out under the responsibility of each user.
