Today there are many messaging applications available on our Mac. More so with the recent WhatsApp application for MacOS, but we cannot ignore one of the first and most stable ones, such as Telegram.
Of course Apple has its own messaging network and this one every time I use it I like it more. Little by little it incorporates new functions, but in the style of Apple, without addictions just because the competition does, and with its signature Apple stamp: simplicity and ease of use.
When we receive a video through the messages application on our Mac, we can play it immediately, as it is downloaded automatically. We may be curious to know its content, but we are at that moment in a public place or with people around. We can reduce the volume of our Mac, but we eliminate all the sounds. If we not only want to mute the audio of said video, we have an option.
To do this, just start playing the video and in its lower right corner we will see the symbol of a speaker with sound waves just below. To silence it, we just have to click on said icon and we will check that the speaker waves disappear. At that time we will have our video silenced and we can see it without disturbing those around us.
Finally, as added information. The video may be displayed too small. In that case, we can always see the video in the default application that we have assigned to see this video format on our Mac. To do this, we must press on the right button of our mouse or with two fingers simultaneously, if so we have configured in our trackpad, to open a context menu. At that moment we can press the open option and the video will open in the assigned player.
