i-FlashDrive HD, a memory to transfer files between your Mac and iOS device

It is true that one of the drawbacks of the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch is that its internal memory cannot be expanded by using microSD cards. As a workaround, a new product has emerged called PhotoFast i-FlashDrive HD that it is an external memory that we can connect to the 30-pin dock connector of our iOS device.

To insert files into this memory, PhotoFast i-FlashDrive HD has a USB port that we can connect to our Mac or PC and will be recognized as one more storage unit. Now we just have to drag the photos, videos, music or documents that we want to transfer to the iOS device and that's it.

The next step to follow is download the i-FlashDrive HD app which can be obtained from the App Store for free. You can also download it by clicking on the following link:

Once we have the application installed, we just have to connect PhotoFast i-FlashDrive HD to the iOS device and the accessory will be detected immediatelyIn addition, a message will not appear on the screen to open the application that will allow us to view the content that is inside. The application of this accessory is very simple to use and although iOS does not have a file manager, PhotoFast i-FlashDrive HD offers us a very similar solution so that we have all the files organized.

In addition to being able to view the content stored in the external memory, this accessory also gives us the possibility of transfer content that we have stored on our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. For example, we can select an album of images and pass all its content to PhotoFast i-FlashDrive HD. The next step is to delete the photos stored on the iOS device to save space or connect the memory to our computer and enjoy the snapshots.

We also have the possibility of making a backup of our contacts, very useful in case we do not usually make copies in iTunes or through iCloud.

What if we have a device that has a Lightning connection? In that case we will make use of the corresponding adapter since the 30-pin connection is the one chosen by the manufacturer to market its product. It must be said that from 16GB of storage, the adapter is included in the kit, however, the 8GB unit will force us to buy it separately.

The price of PhotoFast i-FlashDrive HD is 69,99 euros for the 8GB drive and 249,90 euros for the 64GB version. There are also 16GB and 32GB editions.

It seems like a good idea to arrive late, very late, and as always, at an exaggerated price. What do they want at € 249 for a 64gb pileup. ??? You can get pen drives of the same capacity and USB3.0 for € 90… Three-quarters of the same with Thunderbolt but even worse, since Macs already come with USB 3.0 and they work wonderfully. The price of the devices with Thunderbolt and even the cable is elite.
