We all know that Apple computers are increasingly difficult to repair but in this case the score obtained by the new 24-inch iMac is really low, They have given it a 2 out of 10, with 10 being the best mark for repairing the equipment. We are directly telling us that replacing or updating the equipment is impossible without going through a specialized technical service.
Basically what they tell us from iFixit is that the fans, the USB C, the 3,5mm jack connector for the headphones, the power button, the speakers or the built-in webcam they would be the only parts that we could change in case of any problem or failure. Logically, the external power supply that also adds the Ethernet port in the higher model can also be changed, which does not mean that it can be repaired.
The rest of the components are quite complicated not to mention that they are impossible to change in case of breakage or damage. Starting with the screen that is difficult to remove and replace, it is not logically possible to change the internal storage and it is not possible to access the change or repair of the memory since they are soldered together with the M1 processor ...
The new iMac models like the old models have been losing repair options in case of failure this is something known by all Apple users so We recommend thinking carefully about the configuration that we are going to choose when we are going to buy one of these teams since it is impossible to modify or add any internal component in it.
