iFixit already has in its hands the renewed Apple iMac

How can it be otherwise, the new Apple all-in-ones have already fallen into the hands of iFixit, released yesterday without making much noise by those of Cupertino. A few hours after a device launch by Apple, iFixit 'guts' them and investigates the guts of them. This time they do the same with the renewed iMac, and the discoveries are quite interesting in addition to what we all already know as their new Intel Haswell processors.

But let's see some of these details incorporated into Apple iMac, which we discover from iFixit.

A novelty is that all iMac add SSD connection for possible future extensions by customers. That's right, the SSD upgrade seems like included in every iMac from the basic 21,5 inches, it should be remembered that in previous models it was only incorporated if the customer specifically requested it with the Fusion Drive.

New iMac available in Apple stores will require a PCIe connection If the owner wants to add another hard drive in it, as we see in the following image:

A negative point that this renewal of the iMac also shows us is that now in the 21,5-inch units, the CPU is soldered onto the motherboard and is more difficult to change. According to iFixit this is the worst of this internal renovation and it is something new since iMac are manufactured in aluminum, instead 27-inch iMac do not have it soldered.

The differences between the iMac renewed yesterday and those that we had available previously, are exclusively on its internal hardware and that is why many of the users who buy their iMac will not realize the changes implemented by Apple, since the exterior is exactly the same and no presentation or anything like that was made ... but we believe that it was not necessary either.
