The application platform Setapp is the first to offer a fixed price for a broad content of applications, which we can download, install or uninstall on our Mac to our liking. To enjoy this service we must be subscribed and attend a monthly fee.
To date, all the path traveled by Setapp was satisfactory, where the number of developers increased month by month, in this service that has been called the Netflix of applications. But in the last hours we have known the decision of iMazing to leave the Setapp platform as of December 28.
It so happens that iMazing is one of the developers who have been from the beginning of the project. The reasons for the developer's decision are the incompatibility between the future projects that have been marked and Setapp's business model.
That's true, we'll be leaving Setapp soon. What I can say about these changes is that I find iMazing incompatible with the Setapp model. It was a great long-term collaboration and we enjoyed many things, but now we abandon it due to our own plans.
If you have the iMazing application downloaded from Sepapp, you can continue using the application. Of course, you must be careful not to delete it from your Mac, as you will not be able to obtain a copy through Setapp. The platform is working to incorporate an application that performs similar functions to iMazing. Remember that the application allows connect our iPhone and Mac for file transfer. For many it is the perfect alternative to iTunes. In the era of content in the cloud, even many users demand an application of these characteristics.
Surely the guys at iMazing are preparing a new version of the application. Currently if you want to buy the application that is in version 2.8, you have to pay € 40 to purchase the license.
