iMovie receives an update to fix a stability issue

iMovie for Mac was updated on October 27 along with the rest of Apple applications with the arrival of the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar at "Hello Again" event from Apple. Now Apple's video editing application receives another major update that was apparently giving some users a head start.

According to the description that we find in the application for Mac, this new version solves a stability issue some users were experiencing who upgraded the app from a previous version where they had shared movies or trailers.

We are going to see the improvements implemented in the previous 10.1.3 update released in October and that are directly related to the Touch Bar of the new MacBook Pro:

  • MacBook Pro Touch Bar support, allowing you to quickly add video clips to movies or create picture-in-picture, green screen and split screen effects
  • Ability to play the movie, split a clip or adjust the volume of the clips easily from the Touch Bar
  • Ability to delete render files to free up disk space

In this update to version 10.1.4, this improvement is only added to solve the stability problem that although it is something important for those users who have had problems with the new version, for those who have not suffered the problem it is one more update . In any case, it is better to fix these bugs as soon as possible and in iMovie we do not usually have many updates, so we are happy that the company is working hard to fix these bugs.
