Incinerator: the application to delete files on our Mac

incinerator-application-2

We all know the existence of apps in the Apple Store to delete files and documents of our Mac. Today in Soy de Mac We will see an application that does exactly this but not only eliminates them, it destroys all the 'remnants they leave' on our computer so that they cannot be recovered once deleted.

This application we find it for free in the Mac App Store and it's called 'Incinerator'With it, we can be calm when we want to completely eliminate documents, photos or files from our Mac without leaving any trace of it (it is not used to eliminate applications), and it is that with it we eliminate the files from their root.

We can also use Terminal or even the conventional OS X trash can, but there are always some 'remains' on our machine. As we read in the characteristics of this application which is really easy to use, it provides us a real destroyer for our junk files.

As always, what we have to do is access the Mac App Store and download the application. Once we have it installed we just have to open it and we will see that the icon is placed on the dock, then it is the easiest thing in the world to use it.

We select the file or files to delete and we just have to drag it with the mouse to the dock icon:

Will give us some simple options to modify in the new window that appear when we add the file to Incinerator, how to delete the file after burning it, which is the most normal thing if we do not want to leave a trace and the option not to block the random functions:

Once we press the button to 'Incinerate' the file, it shows us the time it took to carry out the task, but the most important thing is that the file no longer exists on our Mac and it does not leave any trace of it. If in the options that the application allows us, we deselect the option to delete after burning, the file will continue on our Mac but it does not allow us to access it.
