At today's event, Apple has presented the Mac that can turn heads in the coming weeks. With a peculiar design that reminds us very much of the Mac mini, but with an interior that looks more like a Mac Pro, that's why the rumors said that it would be a hybrid, it does not come to replace the Intel Mac mini that it is still selling after Peek Performance.
Apple has presented at the event on Tuesday 8, which began at 19:00 p.m. in Spain, a new Mac desktop called MacStudio, which comes as an alternative between the Mac mini and Mac Pro aimed at professional users. It has an M1 Ultra chip that will delight those who need so much power.
When it was rumored which devices Apple would launch at the Peek Performance event, there was talk of this Mac Studio that could relegate the current Mac mini to the part of the Macs in free fall, especially since it continues to keep Intel inside. And yet, as the company nears its two-year deadline to complete the transition to Apple Silicon, It looks like the Intel Mac mini will be around for a bit longer.
This Intel Mac mini comes with a Intel Core processor i5 six core, Intel UHD Graphics 640, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. But we also have a cheaper model with M1 offering eight CPU cores, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.
Clearly this Mac Studio is not an evolution of the Mac mini. But then there are some unanswered questions - will Apple introduce another Mac mini later on?
At the moment this Mac mini and the Mac Pro stoically hold up with Intel. This way of acting of the American company is curious.
