I've never particularly liked using iTunes more than is strictly necessary. Both the menus and the general operation of the application leave a lot to be desired and since the arrival of iOS 9, Apple it does not let us copy the applications that we have on our iPhone to the Mac to make a backup if we want to erase our entire iPhone and start from the beginning. In this way, when we restore our iPhone, we have to go to the App Store again and look for all the applications that we had installed and download one by one, a process that takes us a few hours.
The latest OS X update didn't bring us the latest version Apple has been working on since February is version 12.4. The guys at MacRumors have been able to access several leaks of the next version of iTunes, version that will bring us important news regarding the operation of the application. To begin with, the media selector has been redesigned and will allow us to quickly switch between music, applications, movies, TV programs and others instead of using the icons that the application currently offers us.
We will also see a new sidebar located on the left side of the application that will make it easier for us to access different parts of the iTunes library, such as specific songs or albums. The menus in the next version of iTunes have been simplified to be simpler. The music player has also been redesigned to provide more information regarding the song that is playing, and the control buttons have been located on the right side of it.
Moment we don't have an exact release date of this latest version of iTunes, but the date could be between the end of May and the beginning of June. Maybe Apple will launch it at WWDC along with some more news. Until the date arrives, the only thing we can do is speculate on the possible release date.
