After making its debut on the iOS platform, the application iVigilo Smartcam that allows us to turn our devices into real IP cameras, makes the leap to OS X.

With this application you can use your Mac's built-in webcam to record video when your computer detects movement or faces in the area that we want to have protected from any suspicious action.

To alert us of any movement detected by iVigilo Smartcam, the application can send an alert with a keyframe (with face detection, for example) to our email.

Making use of the IP camera concept, the video broadcast that our Mac is making is accessible from almost all browsers. In the application settings we can configure the quality of the recording, select the camera to use (the integrated one or an external one that connects via USB)
