LaCie Rugged RAID Pro iMac Pro

LaCie has done it again. It presents a new hard disk capable of withstanding the climatic adversities or the extreme excursions to which you subject it. It is also the perfect companion for Apple's latest line of MacBooks as it has a USB-C connection. It's about the new LaCie Rugged RAID Pro.

This hard drive is capable of withstanding rain, dust, and shock. What's more, the LaCie “Rugged” family is popular for this very reason: it allows you to work comfortably and safely from anywhere in the world. On the other hand, it will only be available in a single capacity, but taking into account that is focused on photographers and filmmakers, it is normal that this storage space is abundant.

LaCie says this rugged hard drive is for imaging professionals. In addition, as you well know, many of these professionals bet on the Apple platform; either because of its wide variety of products or because of the software you can use in them. This is why the LaCie Rugged RAID Pro has a USB-C port.

Likewise, and to make the transfer of data even faster, it has an integrated card reader, right in the same compartment where the physical connections are located and that are protected by a watertight cover to prevent the entry of liquids or any matter that could damage them.

As we told you, this LaCie Rugged RAID Pro will only be available in one capacity. And this goes up to 4TB of space. On the other hand, and to verify that it is really resistant, the tests to which the company subjected this model are: falls to the ground from a height of 1,2 meters; being crushed by a one-ton car; and offers resistance certificate IP54. Finally, this version will be marketed in the coming months and its price will be 350 euros.
