MacOS Calendar has a lot of functions that you probably won't use every day, due to lack of knowledge or lack of resources. We can really add much more information to the calendar, than the simple appointment with a date and time, to a specific calendar (personal, family, work, etc.)
Now it is possible to download a calendar of specific events. Today we'll see how to locate the calendar of the next Soccer World Cup to be held in Russia and kicks off in just a few weeks. With this information you will not miss any game that you like, since 64 matches of the event will be on your Mac.
For this we resort to the default application of macOS, Calendar. We must also download the calendar on a page intended for this purpose, since at least for the moment, FIFA does not have its calendar available. In this case, We resort to the iCalShare page, where the calendar all the World Cup matches.
By accessing the link, We find a point that tells us, in this case in English: «Subscribe to Calendar». After pressing it, we must give permission for the application to open calendars and it offers us the possibility of adding said calendar.
Calendars have the possibility to import an external calendar. In this case it is a webcal type calendar, which allows us to download the information. After confirming that you want to import the calendar, a second larger window opens, where they ask us:
- El calendar name and color that we want to assign to it.
- La calendar address. This links to the above, therefore, we should not touch anything.
- Location. If we choose a location which is also on another device, for example iCloud, this device will also display this device.
- IF we wish to eliminate the aevent vouchers and attachments, and the update frequency, which by default is weekly.
After these previous adjustments, accept and the calendar will appear with the chosen color, at the bottom of your list of calendars.
