A new patent approved for Apple shows where the Cupertino firm is right now. Any type of novelty is subject to being patented and the Mac Pro case design could be used to make the iPhone case.
Obviously this type of patent is one of those that we have not just seen directly added to a device and that is the touch of this iPhone would be really strange. In any case, Apple has already registered the design in a patent discovered by Patently Apple.
Logically it would be interesting to dissipate temperature but impractical
The truth is that a chassis similar to the one that the Mac Pro has added in an iPhone could be really interesting in terms of temperature dissipation but it has its downside as well. And is that dirt that could get between these holes carrying the iPhone in your pocket or backpack would be too much. The Mac Pro is a desktop computer that can be cleaned perfectly with a cloth, but this design on an iPhone would be more complicated.
It cannot be said that it is the final design resistance to water or dust ingress on the iPhone they would be a real headache for users. It is not ruled out that a Mac Pro with a smaller size and the design of the current Mac Pro will be seen soon, what we could rule out is an iPhone with this chassis design.
