Manuscript ++ is one of those applications that can help users who have to write a lot in front of a Mac since it prevents us from being distracted while writing. Obviously any office suite can do this function or we can even use the notes application of our Mac (although it is fair) but in this case the good thing about Manuscript ++ is that it has some extra options that help us in the task but do not distracting, such as night mode take care of your eyes through a dark style or the possibility of seeing the word and character counter that is updated instantly.
In addition to these options we have the option to store a backup directly to iCloud, if we have it active and be able to share it with the rest of the devices we have. The good thing about all this is that it requires commands to activate the different functions and many may think that this is a nuisance, but without a doubt it avoids distractions in the writing since we only see the text that we write in the window and the counter words if we don't remove it.
The commands to leave Manuscript to our liking and activate the dark mode, share the note on social media like Twitter or change the type of window among others are:
Type the following "commands" in the text editor and something will happen:
/ Dark-mode = Set the Style window to dark
/ Light-mode = Set windowStyle to light
/ ToggleTitlebar = shows / hides the window title bar
/ ToggleCounters = show / hide character / word counter at bottom left
/ Send-tweet = publish the written text on twitter
/ Send-mail = opens a new mail window with the written text
In addition to this, they ensure that in the next update (this application is totally new, it was launched yesterday) they will add some more configuration options for the user and a version for iOS devices, which today would have to be under review by Manzana.
