Yes, you read that correctly, Apple today also launched a new way to connect to mobile networks, but in the United States and the United Kingdom. It is a "special" SIM card, created by Apple itself and pre-installed in the new models of iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 in its WiFi + Cellular version.

With this SIM card that they have called Apple SIM, the user can make use of the three most important companies in the country,  AT & T, T-Mobile and Sprint, being able to make use of short-term data plans when they need it

In all previous iPad models with the cellular option, users had to choose between existing phone companies and hire Internet services from them, after which they obtained a SIM card from the chosen company. This action had to be done by all users. However, with new iPad models presented Today, Apple is quietly introducing what they have called the new Apple SIM pre-installed.

With the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, Apple is launching a "Apple SIM" that will be pre-installed on devices purchased in the United States and United Kingdom and that are models with the Cellular option. This Apple's own SIM will allow users to easily move between the country's telephone companies AT & T, T-Mobile and Sprint and thus take advantage of short-term data plans as needed.

In this way, whenever needed, the user can choose the plan that works best without long-term commitments. We are again before a new invention of the Apple company that gives a twist to the use of current SIM cards.
