Microsoft Introduces First Microsoft Edge Preview Builds for macOS

Microsoft Edge for macOS

A few hours ago Microsoft announced the launch of a preview your Microsoft Edge browser, for the Mac operating system. This trial version can be obtained directly from the page Microsoft ready for it. For compatibility, some Macs are not supported at least with this previous version.

Microsoft's claim is that the user experience of this first version for macOS is quite similar to the version that runs on Windows. In any case, Microsoft does not want to change the user experience of a Mac user. An example is the application close buttons on the left.

We learned about Microsoft's intentions with its macOS browser at the last annual developer conference in Seattle, held earlier this month. Days later we had a version of the browser on the Microsoft website. Instead, we could not download browser until just a few hours ago.

Microsoft tells us that users accustomed to the version of Edge on Windows may find slight changes. These changes are noted in the interface. They have had to adapt the application to the macOS programming language, but their intention is to resemble the original as much as possible.

Examples of this include a number of tweaks to match macOS conventions in: fonts, menus, keyboard shortcuts, the title deck, and other areas. You will continue to see the look of the browser evolve in future releases as we continue to experiment, iterate, and listen to customer feedback.

However, if you download you will find a preliminary version, nothing more stable if possible if you compare it with the windows version. Later we will have a final version, fully stable. In addition, we hope that it is fully compatible with complementary elements, such as the case of the touch Bar and gestures with the Track pad.
