If you are one of those who manage several Windows computers from your Mac because you like the OS X environment better, you have to be in luck because Microsoft has just announced that it will update the version of its remote desktop application with important improvements and hope to launch it later this month.

In addition to the updated version with news for Mac, Microsoft has also confirmed that there will be a new version 'mobile' Both for iOS and for Windows RT and Android systems, this excellent news will give this application much greater practicality since we can connect wherever we are without problem. This is something that should have been implemented a long time ago but for one reason or another was not carried out at the time, anyway I have always thought that it is better late than never.

I think it is important to note that the Mac App Store already has several applications that function as clients of cross-platform remote desktop but that on the contrary none of them is official or authorized by Microsoft. There is only one certified remote desktop application that is included with Office 2011, but it has received very little support in relation to updates so it is very limited in terms of functionality and more if we compare it with other client applications much more complete.

According to Michael Roth, Microsoft's MVP can expect a lot more than what has been done so far with the Mac application and any remote desktop application referring to 'Seamless Windows' or fusion between desktops (virtualized and native) among other features.
