New auction of a fully functional Apple I

It is not the first nor will it be the last time that we see how in one of the many auctions that are made of Apple products, the figures that are reached are impressive. As a general rule, the figures are usually high when Tim Cook is in the middle or although the device in question is an Apple I. On September 12, a new auction will be held in which a perfectly functional Apple I will be part of the itself. But unlike previous auctions, the money you generate through this auction will go to Non-profit organizations.

Known as the Schoolsky Apple I, this computer belonged to former Virginia technology professor David Larson, who He bought it in 1994 for $ 3.500 from Adam Schoolsky. This person received all the necessary parts to assemble the Apple I from Wozniak himself, who was a friend and person like Steve Jobs. As I mentioned above, all the money raised will go to charities, specifically the Foundation for Amateur International Radio Service, Ltd (FAIRS), a non-profit foundation that provides emergency radio equipment to Developing countries.

Along with the Apple I, the lot includes a cassette player along with a large number of documents proving the authenticity of the equipment, such as a letter that the seller, Larson received from Schoolsky himself in 1994 as part of the sales agreement. Also included is a Zaltair flyer. In 1977 Wozniak and Schoolsky printed thousands of flyes on a new computer called Zaltair, specifically MITS Zaltair, flyes that were distributed at the West Coast Computer Fair in the same year, a computer that finally never saw the light.
