CodiGo, a new game for children focused on programming

Games to learn to program or take the first steps in it there are quite a few in the Mac App Store and this is good. Today we want to show a new application that is focused for all users but especially for the little ones at home since it will help them with the beginnings of programming.

CodiGo is an application designed for users to students of the Informatics and Technology Program of Grupo Educare put into practice their knowledge in basic programming, critical and computational thinking, and also so that any user can develop those skills in a fun, easy and distracted way.

The adventure is very similar to others that we have already seen on iOS and Mac, it consists of use a character to perform a series of tasks that teach us to program. These tasks are small missions that teach us step-by-step programming with several stages, from simpler to more complicated. Codi, is the character in this adventure and we can enjoy 14 fun missions plus 6 free practice mats designing and solving our own challenges.

The application interface and the story itself is focused for children ages 5 to 9 they feel comfortable while they are learning to program in front of the Mac, obviously anyone of greater age can use it. This is one of those applications that requires some skill and a little mental effort from the little ones to solve the problems, which is great for their development and learning in programming. they will have to read and listen to the mission, tap on the arrows to move forward, turn or go back; catch the objects that the instructions indicate and get enough diamonds to unlock the next level.
