As always happens with new products, they come onto the market with a small bug or bug that let's get a good upset. This is the case of the new MacBook Pro with integrated Force Touch technology that were presented some time ago, specifically it would be a failure of the firmware of the equipment itself that would cause corruption in the stored data.

For this reason, Apple has been obliged to launch a firmware update this is for version 1.0 flash storage targeting Force Touch MacBook Pros released in mid-2015. As described, this update addresses a firmware issue in flash storage that, in rare cases, can cause data corruption. Of course, Apple recommends that everyone who owns a mid-2015 MacBook Pro upgrade to this version as soon as possible.

Interestingly, Apple does not specify if the update it applies only to the 15-inch version that would be designated as "mid-2015", or would also enter the 13-inch model considered an "early 2015" model.

The mid-2015 model was put on sale in May with various updates of internal components and the already known Pressure-sensitive Force Touch trackpad. This debut of the 15-inch model was preceded by the 13-inch version, which also brought Force Touch and faster flash storage within this range.

Owners of the affected model can download the update via the Mac App Store or directly from Apple's support site, the download has an approximate weight of 1,9 Mb.
