Jon Prosser recently ventured to explain what the future Apple Watch was going to be like and tell us that the new lossless audio functionality would come to the AirPods via an update. In his latest video, Jon Prosser claims that the next Mac mini with M1X will also introduce a new generation of industrial design for Apple's standalone Mac. This model is expected to replace the higher-end space gray Intel Mac mini in the lineup, with the M1 Mac mini as the entry-level machine. The Mac mini 2021 will feature a new external chassis with a reflective "Plexiglas-like" surface on top.
The M1X chip will allow Apple to offer a full line of ports once again, including four USB4 / Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB-A, Ethernet, and HDMI out. It will use the same style of magnetic power connector that Apple debuted on the iMac M1. Prosser speculates that the superior glass-like finish may mean Apple is launching a range of two-tone color options for this particular model. Un last week's Bloomberg report suggested that the new Mac mini will feature a next-gen Apple Silicon chip with 8 high-performance cores and 2 efficiency cores.
