The new MacBook Pro could have a fingerprint sensor on the power button

MacBook Pro

Many are the rumors that in recent weeks are surrounding the new MacBook Pro models that the Cupertino-based company would intend to renew before the end of the year. A few weeks ago we showed you the keyboard case, and several renderings that showed us the possible result, in which we could see a space reserved for the supposed OLED screen that will be located at the top of the keyboard and that would allow us to create shortcuts and shortcuts to the functions that we use the most in the applications that are running at that moment, since that panel will vary depending on the application that we have open.

Rumors that point to the possibility that the company could add a fingerprint sensor, They seemed to be ruled out after the presentation of macOS and the possibility of being able to unlock the Mac through the Apple Watch. At the moment we do not know if the iPhone will also allow us to unlock the device and open our associated Mac account on the Apple Watch. But not everyone has or is willing to buy the Apple smartwatch, so rumors reappear once again where they talk about the possible location of a fingerprint sensor on the MacBook.

As we can read in 9to5Mac, the power button of the next MacBook Pro model would integrate a fingerprint sensor that would allow us to quickly unlock our Mac to be able to access our data without having to write our password at any time. If Apple does not want to break the current design of the MacBook Pro in a very exaggerated way, the location on the power button seems the most logical. Although for now and until Apple presents us with the final models, we do not know when it will, we will not be able to leave doubts about it.
