New Orleans Meets Cities with Public Transportation Information on Apple Maps

When the Cupertino boys want to, they do things well. At the beginning of last week, I informed you of the arrival of information about public transportation to Houston, where a couple of nights ago the highly anticipated and expensive final of the American Super Bowl was held. Apple launched this public transportation information service to make it easier for everyone lucky enough to get a ticket to this spectacular sporting event, the most watched sporting event on American television. Now it's New Orleans' turn, a few weeks before the Mardi Gras celebration.

Citizens and travelers who visit the city from now on, will be able to check through their iPhone which are the closest means of transport to their location to be able to move quickly without having to resort to taxis, their own vehicle, Uber, Lift ... Maps Apple offers us information about the bus, and the transportation vehicles available in the city, which is added to the information about Amtrak trains that Apple added last October at the national level. In addition, walking routes are also included to be able to make tourist visits around the city.

This year Mardi Gras is scheduled for February 28 and like every year it will be invaded by a large number of tourists, tourists who can use Apple Maps to move around the city without any problem. Currently after New Orleans, Apple Maps offers information on public transportation in 29 American cities, while expansion across Europe seems to have come to a complete standstill, as we only find two cities with this type of information, very useful information for all those users who have the need or pleasure to travel abroad.

Hello good. I am a follower of your website because I like mac. But when you say "When the guys from Cupertino want to do things right ..." putting a two or a handful of American Cities these services on Apple Maps is hilarious when Google Maps is light years away from the Apple simile. Those from Cupertino know too much that Maps is not their strong suit and they will always go in tow, of course if they don't get the batteries ...

    All the best

When I refer to "They want to do things well ..." I mean that they happen to add this kind of useful information in the places where it is most needed due to the events that will be held soon, as is the case in New Orleans and Houston. for the final of the Superbowl.
In particular, I am very critical of Apple, and more in the slovenliness that it is showing by limiting this type of information practically to American cities.
Google Maps is and will be light years away from Apple's maps, if the guys at Tim Cook do not get their batteries together once with this service.
