Mini LED

Apple surprised us in its latest presentation of the new Apple Silicon Macs, since almost nothing was known about them. Well, we are back to our old ways. They have already crushed our guitar and we are left without a new surprise. There are already many rumors that suggest that the next MacBook Pro will mount Mini-LED panels.

If we listen to the saying "like the river sounds, water carries", we can say "almost" with complete certainty that the novelty of the next high-end Mac notebooks will have screens with the new technology Mini LED. Let's see what this new rumor says.

A new report from DigiTimes published today firmly affirms that Apple has finally adopted the new Mini-LED panel technology for the next devices that the company will launch. It even gives the list of suppliers that will manufacture such panels.

These devices will be the new range of iPad Pro, which are already being manufactured to launch in spring 2021, and two new MacBook Pro (evidently Apple Silicon) of 14,1 and 16,1 inches that will begin to be manufactured in mid-2021.

The article explains that Apple's suppliers in Taiwan, including LED chip supplier Epistar, FitTech testing and grading specialist, SMT Taiwan Surface Mount Technology service provider, Zhen Ding Technology backlight board supplier, supplier refrigeration solutions company Auras Technology and process equipment manufacturer All Ring Technology are preparations to meet upcoming orders for the components needed to assemble Apple's new miniLED backlit devices.

He goes on to say that Foxconn Technology and Compal Electronics will share orders for mounting iPad Pro miniLED devices, and MacBook Pro products that adopt M1 chipsets will be produced primarily by Quanta Computer and in part by Foxconn.

TSMC It will continue to benefit more from these new devices as the chipmaker has secured all manufacturing orders for the 5nm processors for the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro Mini-LED models. Along with strong iPhone sales, it is said that 2021 is looking good for TSMC, with first quarter revenue likely to hit a new high, according to DigiTimes.
