In this case it does not change the version numbering as it is a security update and it simply adds this improvement. We are surprised that Apple does not change the nomenclature to differentiate it from the previous version, but in this case it does not, and despite the fact that it is a new update three weeks after launching this version with several improvements, the company does not modify the version's badge.
The release notes for this new release are clear: it is recommended to update all Apple Remote Desktop clients, as solves various problems related to reliability, usability and general compatibility of the application.
What is true is that the update has been available since yesterday and if you are one of the users who did not update, you can do it directly by accessing the Mac App Store in the Updates tab. It is a security update and therefore installation is recommended for all users. This tool allows us to have control of our machine remotely and it offers a lot of options in itself, it is about more than just viewing our Mac desktop from outside the office remotely.
The new version released by Apple just add this change in security of it and that is why we recommend the installation as soon as possible if we do not have automatic download activated on our Mac.
