Under the code A1844 Apple introduced a new device to the US patent office known as the FCC. It is an unknown device, as the features it provides do not fit with any known Apple product.

The size would be similar to Apple TV 4. The structure has holes for Torx screws, as well as un connector from which four colored cables come out. The device has an electrical power of 5,5 V to 13,2 V, halfway between the iPhone and the Apple TV
But the newest thing is wide connectivity, as it has Bluetooth and NFC. The Bluetooth element is widely used by Apple in its equipment, but not NFC, which to date only uses it for payment from the mobile through Apple Pay. It is also relevant what we do not find: it does not have WiFi connectivity, although the final model may well take it and it is an Apple strategy not to give all the clues about the new product.
Since its filing in the patent company, speculation in the Apple world has not stopped. On the one hand, they talk about a new Apple TV, although the low energy demand required by the device and the four-color cables on the outside, seem to rule out this new version of Apple TV, rather a kind of Airport. On the other hand, it is more likely to respond to the commented physical version of Crab, which would allow us to interact with the assistant in our home.
In any case, in the best of cases it will be a prototype that will take some time to come to light and we will see more rumors in the coming months.
